Zane Elijah
Harris
Oct 16, 2003 — May 16, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son Zane Elijah Harris on May 16, 2022. Zane was born on October 16, 2003, in Jacksonville Florida. He was a Senior at West Nassau High School.
Zane's compassionate, funny, and laid-back personality was a gift to those who knew and loved him. He always found ways to help others without hesitation, whether they asked or not. The ability to know when to step up and help someone, even a stranger, was second nature to Zane. He would fill a room with laughter by telling funny jokes and giving quirky impressions in his jovial fun-loving ways. Zane's energy was contagious, and it was amazing to see how people would naturally gravitate toward him. Zane lived in Callahan his entire life and we are fortunate that our son was able to touch many lives within our small town. We are so proud of the young man Zane had become and are blessed to have had 18 years with him.
Zane made the decision to follow Jesus and surrendered his life to the Lord in December of 2012. He was baptized at Callahan First Baptist Church. We find comfort knowing he is now being held in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by a loving family: his parents Kelly Harris, Greg and Kristen Harris, and brother Zach Harris; both maternal and paternal grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind many lifelong friends from school, church, and the Callahan community.
A Celebration of Zane's Life will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan First Baptist Church with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating. A private interment will follow at Jones Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011, 904-879-1770. Visit www.nassaufh.com to sign the family's guest book.
