Pratt - William "Bill" Walter Pratt, age 82, of Hilliard, FL passed away in his home on February 17, 2021.  Bill was born on August 2, 1938 in Fort Edward, New York to Walter & Margaret Pratt. After graduating high school in 1955, Bill married his high school sweet heart, Nancy Christopher.  Their union was blessed with a daughter, Toni Lee (Pratt) Deslaurier and a son, William Frederick Pratt.  While raising his family, Bill attended drafting school at night and graduated with honors in June 1959.  Bill and Nancy divorced in 1963.

While on a trip to the Bahamas in 1964, Bill met Patricia "Pat" Merle Gorsuch.  They fell in love and were married on April 10, 1966.  Bill and Pat were blessed with two sons, Wayne Walter Pratt and Lance Arthur Pratt.  Bill started working at BellSouth in 1970 and retired in 1995 after 25 years of service.  During that time, he saw his work change from drawing cable layouts using pencils and a drafting table to designing entire phone systems by computer.

As a husband and a father, Bill set a shining example of how loyal and caring a man should be to family and friends.  He was dedicated to caring for his wife and remained by her side until her passing in January 2018.  Even then, his endearing humor and his commitment to family, friends and the congregation continued.

In his spare time, Bill enjoyed computer & card games, playing pool, watching Jeopardy or old movies, ministering and helping out family, friends & members of the congregation.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Margaret Pratt; his sister, Margaret Ann "Peggy" Dickenson, and his wife of 52 years, Patricia Pratt.

Bill is survived by his brother, Robert Pratt; daughter, Toni Deslaurier; sons, William "Willy" Pratt, Wayne and Lance Pratt; grandchildren, Burleigh, John and Willow Griffith, Jeremiah Pratt, Maverick and Whitney Pratt, as well as great-grandchildren, Mason, Kaia, and Naomi Griffith and Chloe Renee Pratt, and many close friends.
