Brooks – William Phillip Brooks, age 85, of Callahan, Florida passed away at UF Health Jacksonville on January 24, 2020. He was born May 2, 1934 in Lynchburg, Kentucky.  William honorably served his country in the United States Navy and retired in 1970. He then moved to our area and worked as an electrician at WestRock in Fernandina Beach. William enjoyed woodworking, flying planes and gardening.

William is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Joy Hansen Brooks of Callahan, FL; children, Donnie (Pat) Brooks of Tucson, AR, Teri McCuen of Orange Park, FL, Bill (Cindi) Brooks of Callahan, FL; 5 grandchildren Tony, Alex, Jacque, Joshua, Darby; great grandchildren, Natalie, Cylus, Titus.

A Visitation to honor William's life will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
