Obituary

Parsons - Willard E. Parsons was born on June 21, 1936, in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up in Callahan, Florida graduating from Callahan High School. Bill attended the University of Florida, graduating with a B.S.B.A. degree and law degree. He was a lieutenant in the Florida Air National Guard. Bill went on to practice law in Jacksonville, where many of his clients and colleagues became life-long friends. Prevailing in the hotly contested election, Bill rose up the ranks to become circuit court judge where he served with distinction. Bill – or Billy as he was known to some – had a terrific sense of humor and a mischievous streak; practical jokes were not uncommon. Bill had a keen sense of adventure; he might be found in a casino in France or watching the sunset in Key West while enjoying a glass of milk and the local pie. He was an avid pilot and boater. Bill was known for his big heart and generous spirit. He spoke with fondness and a twinkle in his eye of his time as a member of Morocco Temple Shrine Arab Patrol and the Callahan Masonic Lodge. Bill was most proud of his work with the Jacksonville Boys Home. Bill passed on May 14, 2025, in his Jacksonville home. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Patricia Geraldine Parsons; daughters, Leslie Parsons (Kevin) and Lauren Langham (Sam); grandchildren, Milo St. Ives, Anna Langhan (Azeez), Logan St. Ives, and Sarah Langham; siblings, Joyce Harris, Wesley Jones and Donna Murphy; beloved nephews and nieces; first wife, mother of his children and steadfast friend, Sally Chappell; and his devoted caregiver, Bobby Cutab.

Pallbearers will be Casey Jones, Craig Jones, Eric Jones, Samuel Langham, Abdulazeez Salim and Milo St. Ives.

The tribute above was prepared by Bill's loving family.
