Thompson - Wendell Dale Thompson, age 62, of Callahan, Florida, passed away on October 3, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida to Gary and Sandra Thompson. Dale was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served from 1981 to 1985. His hobbies and interests helped define who he was. Dale enjoyed building and launching model rockets, vintage cars, baseball, cooking, Stephen King novels and movies, and fishing. Some of his fondest memories were of his grandparent's farm in Alamo, Georgia and spending time fishing and cooking with his family. Dale was a beloved son, father and brother, and uncle who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Thompson.

Dale is survived by his mother, Sandra Thompson; daughters, Amanda Tison (Brian), Leah Schramm (Jason), their mother, Nell Thompson; grandsons, Garrison Tison and Hutson Tison; brother, Daryl Thompson (Laurie); sister, Darla Fedderly (Tony); and nephew, Garret Fedderly.

A Visitation for Dale will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
