Garland – Walter G. Garland, Jr., age 73, of Hilliard, Florida, passed away on August 17, 2021. He was born on July 18, 1948 in Old Fort, North Carolina to Walter G. Garland, Sr. and Gertrude Allison Moxley. Walter joined the United States Marine Corps in September 1966 and served in the Vietnam War.  Following his honorable discharge from the military, Walter went on to pursuing a career as a mechanical engineer for General Electric. Walter was a loving and devoted father and grandfather who loved his family dearly.  He was also a Mason.  In his spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandson play sports.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Walter leaves behind his daughter, Terri O'Neal; son, Tony Garland; sisters, Margaret Shelton, Minnie Silvers; brother, George Moxley; grandchildren, Dakota Garland, Cheyenne Landron, Ethan Garland; great-grandchild, Keanu Landron, many other extended family members.
