Violet M. Black, 91, of Bryceville FL passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Community Hospice and Palliative Care in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Violet was born in Cairo, Illinois on October 28, 1927.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years; Paul E. Black. She is survived by 2 sons; Ronald L. (Paula) Ramsey and Gary D. (Judy) Ramsey, 4 grandchildren; Dale Ramsey, Heather Walker, Lance Ramsey and Nicole Roma, 4 great-grandchildren; Taryn Ramsey, Siera Ramsey, Noah Roma and Mila Roma, many nieces and nephews.

She loved rocking in the screen room with family, having lunch at Cedar River and playing cards. She will be remembered as a kind, loving care giver and will be missed by all.

A viewing was he held on Monday August 12, 2019 in the Nassau Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM, funeral service began at 12:00 PM with Pastor Paul Abernathy of Bryceville First Baptist Church. A private interment followed in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
