Myers – Valarie Viola Myers, age 50, of Callahan, FL, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2020.  She was born on July 20, 1970, in Jacksonville, FL to the late Norman R. and Sandra J. Allen.  Valarie was a people-person and the life of the party.  She spent her career years as a waitress at many different restaurants, and she had a way of calling every customer by their name and treating them like a friend.  Valarie enjoyed the beach, collecting sharks' teeth, laying out by the pool, fishing, shopping at The Avenues, and singing karaoke, whether it be at a bar or in the shower.  She loved to make people laugh.  She treated her dogs, Max and Chico, like they were her children. More than anything, Valarie loved her family and her friends.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Valarie leaves behind her soulmate of over 20 years, Tom Bennett; her sisters, Deborah (Albert, Sr.) Wilkes and Laura (Albert, Jr.) Wilkes, both of Callahan, FL; her brothers, Norman "Ronnie" Allen of Callahan, FL and Ethan Allen of Jacksonville, FL; her nieces & nephews, Ayden (Taisha), Christopher (Jessica), Ashley (James), Nicole, Bradley, and Josh; and many other family members and a zillion friends.

A Celebration of Valarie's Life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, at 6p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 4p.m. – 6p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770.
