Hawthorne - Tom Ron Hawthorne, age 47, of Callahan, Florida passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2024.  He was born in Temple, Texas on February 8, 1977, to Kim Noel Hawthorne and Yong Sun Son Hawthorne.  Tom was a United States Army Veteran, his MOS was 68W. He was injured while serving in Iraq in 2006 and almost lost his life, but Tom beat the odds and survived. Tom was an honorable man. Everything he did was done with intensity and dedication. Tom's passion for the world and humanity was unmatched, it was truly inspiring. His capacity to learn was infinite, he craved knowledge and those who knew him would call him nothing short of a genius. Even through all his personal battles, Tom lived his life always putting others first and helping those he could. Tom walked this earth with such a strong force and will be missed dearly by his family and so many friends. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Isaiah Hawthorne.

Tom leaves behind his father, Kim Noel Hawthorne; mother, Yong Sun Son Hawthorne; brother, Ty Hawthorne; niece, Crystal Hawthorne.

A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Cox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral.
