Bass - Sonia Jean Crews Bass, of Hilliard, Florida passed away December 4, 2024, in her home, following a quick and dirty battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1946, in Hilliard. She was one of four children born to Frank and Jennie Smith Crews. Sonia enjoyed working crosswords, the Bee Gees, Johnny Cash and spending time at home with her husband. She put Christ on in baptism and was a faithful follower until the end. Sonia was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Frank and Harry Crews. She was a devoted wife for the past 11 years, to Robert, a beloved mother to her sons, a steadfast friend to her stepdaughters, and forever remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as a doting grandma. She leaves a gaping hole in the lives of her family. Sonia will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Sonia is survived by her husband, Robert Bass; sons, Jack (Maria) Greggo and David Greggo; daughters, Donna (Mike) Simpkins, Dawn Poole and Kelly Bartchlett; sisters, Bonnie (Winston) Drury and Erma Sue Crews; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family members and friends.
