Perret – Shirley Higginbotham Perret, age 83, of Callahan, Florida gained her angel wings on November 18, 2021.   She was born on September 9, 1938 in Callahan, Florida to Farres Higginbotham and Helen Keen Higginbotham.  Shirley graduated from Callahan High School in 1956, later in life becoming a nurse.  She served her nursing career at St. Luke's Hospital for 25 years.  Shirley married the love of her life, C.A. Perret, in 1968.  She became a wife and mother of 3; C.A. Perret, Pamela Brewster, Nathan Perret; later adding their 2 sons Scott Perret and Gerald Perret. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, C.A. Perret; brother, Edsel Higginbotham; grandson, Matthew Perret; great-granddaughter, Rilee Burch.

Shirley leaves behind her children, C.A. (Theresa) Perret, Pamela (Frank) Brewster, Nathan Perret, Scott (Bonita) Perret, Gerald (Teresa) Perret; siblings, Jimmy (Carol) Higginbotham, Patricia Conner, Janet Higginbotham; grandchildren, Whitney Wilkinson, Kinsey Perret, Wesley Peacock, Nathan Perret, Rhett Perret, Amanda Burch, Tim Beazley, Ren Beazley, Zack Perret, Autumn Perret, Gerald Perret; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Nassau Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
