Obituary

Sheryl L. Rhoden, age 60, passed away December 5, 2025. She was born October 20, 1965, in Jacksonville, Florida to George and Lorene Montgomery.

Sheryl loved sitting outside, watching and listening to the birds that visited her yard daily and had affectionately named a couple regulars. She decorated and hung bird houses in her trees and kept feeders stocked with snacks for the birds to eat. She loved to feed peanuts to the squirrels that visited her every day and also named a few regulars as well.

Sheryl enjoyed watching Judge Judy, Court TV and true crime shows, Friends, Seinfeld, and Two and a Half Men. She loved a good joke and playing funny pranks. She had a great sense of humor. Her laughter was like sunshine and lit up every room she was in.

Sheryl loved spending time with her family, eating good food, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. She especially loved time spent playing with her 3 grandchildren, who lovingly called her "NeNe."

Sheryl will be remembered by those who loved her as a woman who cared deeply for her family and selflessly gave her time to her loved ones. She held strong to her faith and found great comfort being surrounded and cared for by those she held dear to her heart.

Sheryl is survived by her daughters, Kerri Kysar and her husband, and their three children; and Kirstyn Rhoden and her husband; her former husband, David Rhoden; and many other loved ones.

The tribute above was prepared by Sheryl's loving daughters, who will miss her very much.
