Thompson – Shawn Dewaine Thompson, age 40, of Jacksonville, FL passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2021.  He was born on September 15, 1980 in Jacksonville, FL to Randy Thompson and Margaret Racin. Shawn enjoyed fishing in the outdoors of Georgia & Florida, wood carving, knives, and supporting the Florida Gators. He loved people and the life he shared them with.  Most of all Shawn loved his family and would do anything in world for them.  He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Thompson; grandfather, Donald R. Smith; grandparents, Floyd & Ruby Thompson.

Shawn leaves behind his mother, Margaret Racin; grandmother, Dorothy Sikes; stepmother, Tamatha Thompson; sister, Ashley (Nicholas) Newcomb; aunts, Lisa (Jimmy) Carroll, Lori (David) McKendree, Lauri (Wayne) Higginbotham; cousins, Sherry Surrency, Kimberly Howard, Theresa Satterwhite, Beth Youmans & Rachel White, Josh & Kaylee Higginbotham, Chris & Levi McKendree; and many other extended family members.

A Celebration of Shawn's Life will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Higginbotham officiating.
