Crane - Georgia Ruth Smith Crane, age 88, of Yulee, Florida went to be with her Lord Jesus on July 3, 2023.  She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on February 13, 1935, to Rev. B. F. Smith and Georgiana Edens Continenza.  In 1950, Ruth married Bob Crane in Charleston, West Virginia.  In 1956, Ruth and Bob moved to Ratliff Road in Callahan, Florida where they raised their four children, Steve, Doug, Jeff, and Deby until all had graduated high school.  As a Christian wife and mother, Ruth gave so much love to her family.   She was a dedicated servant to the Lord's work, teaching ladies' bible study as well as youth classes. Ruth led the youth choir, the ladies' choir and sang in the church choir.  She sang solos, duets and played several instruments, always using her talents for the Lord.  Ruth led many souls to Christ.  Her primary job had been wife and mother as she raised her children, but Ruth also worked as a substitute teacher and various other part time jobs as the children grew up. In the late 1970's, Ruth became a real estate broker, starting her own company and enjoyed a successful career until the late 1980's.   Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Crane; son, Doug Crane; and all of her siblings.

Ruth is survived by her 3 children, Steve Crane of Yulee, Florida, Jeff (Dawn) Crane of Boulogne, Florida, Deby (Hank) DeCramer of Yulee, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Kristi, Amy, James, Jenny, Heather, Josh, Axel, Doug, Jason, Adrienne; 16 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Ruth spent her last 3 months of life at Dayspring Senior Living in Hilliard, Florida where she found likeminded and sweet friends, and was very well taken care of.

A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Rev.
