Thomas – Ruby Ellyne Thomas, age 84, of Callahan, Florida passed away on April 8, 2021.  She was born on July 18, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia to Grady and Ruby Weaver.  Ellyne enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family.  She was also actively involved with her church family at Callahan First Baptist Church.  Ellyne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be missed dearly.  Ellyne was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Ruby Weaver and husband, William Warren Thomas.

Ellyne is survived by her sons, Mark Thomas, Myron (Yvonne) Thomas, Matthew Thomas; daughter, Debra Taggart; brother, Malcolm; sisters, Ester, Nancy, Carolyn; grandchildren, Tyler, Tanya, Lauren, Sam, Kent, and Konnor; and great grandchildren, Kade, Karver, Bly, and Ace.

A Celebration of Ellyne's Life will be on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11am at Callahan First Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn Hyatt officiating; pallbearers, Wayne Thomas, Greg Jones, Tyler Thomas, Sam Taggart, Kent Thomas, and Konnor Thomas.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5-7pm at Callahan First Baptist Church.
