Obituary

Claxton - Rodney Beau Claxton, age 49, of Callahan, Florida passed away December 31, 2022. He was born September 14, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida. Throughout Rodney's life he had many friends, and no one was a stranger. He would always find someone he knew anywhere he would go. Rodney had a successful company in construction and worked with family and friends. A jack of all trades some would say, anything from construction to fabrication, welding and tinkering with boats or engines. Rodney was a very honest blunt man some would say, too harsh but Rodney just had a firm delivery method. Very straight forward if you didn't like it, then so be it. "Come on."  What Rodney loved most of all was spending time hunting or fishing with family and friends. That was Rodney's life, his family. Fishing was just a bonus. He is preceded in death by his father, Beau T. Claxton; daughter, Danielle M. Claxton.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 28 years Scarlet Claxton; mother, Phyllis J. Claxton; children, Rodney B. Claxton, Jr. of Callahan, FL, Brandon A. Nordstrom (Shay) of Mchenry, IL, Bradley S. Blair of Jacksonville, FL, Sarah Cash (Thomas) of St. George, GA.; grandchildren, Paige Nordstrom, Shyanne Moore, Noah Calloway, Maceon Cash, Alexis Nordstrom, Charley Cash, Zayne Nordstrom, Gavin McKinney, Dallas Claxton; sisters, Annette C. Jarvis (Hardy), Stephanie M. Aten (James), Joy Lynn Ramos (Chris), Jenny O. Dixon (John), Tammy Bolin (Brent); many nieces and nephews.
