Wright – Richard "Dick" Paul Wright, age 58, of Callahan, FL, went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2020.  He was born on October 20, 1962 in Jacksonville, FL to the late William P. Wright and Mattie Silcox Wright.  Dick enjoyed ARC activities, swimming, fishing and participated in Special Olympics.  He was included in many sibling vacations including a cruise and ski trips. Dick was an avid Florida Gator fan and attended games in the "Swamp."  He even pre-planned his funeral with a Gator theme.  Dick blessed his family with patience, persistence and unconditional love.  His family has all benefited by having him in their lives and they will all miss him dearly.

Dick leaves behind his siblings; Betty Jo (Ralph) Higginbotham, Donna W. Higginbotham, Sally W. Lloyd, Pete (Glenda) Wright, Vicki (Shelly) Whitty, Arlene (Perry) Davis; 23 nieces and nephews; 73 great nieces and nephews; 21 great-great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adam Higginbotham, Jacob Davis, William Lloyd, Shelly Whitty, Pete Wright and Levi Wright; special speaker will be Philip Worthington; pianist will be Jenny Lloyd.

A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2 p.m.  at Callahan First Baptist Church with Pastor Lynn Hyatt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
