Richard Bruce Young "Dick", 88, of Callahan FL passed away on September 1, 2019.

He was born on April 16, 1931 in Cleveland Ohio to Horace and Myrtle Young. Dick proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 20 years where he was posted in Illinois, Alaska, Arkansas, Spain, California, Viet Nam, Thailand, Virginia and Germany before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion for 34 years and VFW for 12 years. He retired after 24 years of service as a Material Receiving Supervisor with M&W Gear of Gibson City Ill. He also volunteered with the Station 11 Fire Dept. in Nassau Oaks.

Dick is survived by his loving wife; Lovena Young "Love", children; Richard A. Young, Faran L. Young and Tami L. Letterman, step children; Leigh A. Snyder, Alan Snyder and Lori K. Vasquez, sister; Dolores Lagrua, brother; Horace A. Young Jr., 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday September 12, 2019 in the Nassau Funeral Home Chapel from 11:30 AM-12:45 PM with services beginning at 12:45 with Pastor Dan Search officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard Young, Faran Young, Bobby Letterman, Alan Snyder, John Ford, Benjamin Young, William Young and Ryan Letterman.
