Beaumont – Raymond "Ray" Walter Beaumont, Jr., age 74, of Callahan, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Baptist North Medical Campus in Jacksonville.  Ray was born in Rockledge, Pennsylvania on March 13, 1947, to the late Raymond Walter Beaumont and Catherine Marie Platz Beaumont.  He was raised in Pennsylvania and graduated from Abington High School in 1965.   Shortly after school, Raymond joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served our country for 4 years.  He was stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam during the Vietnam War and then was stationed in MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.  While in Tampa, Ray met the love of his life, Maria Henderson, and they were married on March 7, 1970.  After Ray's honorable discharge from the military, he earned his A&P license and worked as a military aircraft mechanic.  Ray and Maria resided in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 19 months, moved to New Jersey for 3 years where Ray was employed at the New Jersey Air National Guard, then transferred to the Florida Air National Guard which brought them to Jacksonville, Florida for 2 years.  In 1977, they made their forever home Callahan, Florida.  Ray enjoyed his longtime career in the military.  His final position was Chief Master Sergeant.  After 34 years of dedicated service, Ray retired in 1998.  Ray's main passion and hobby was restoring cars.  He owned and operated Beaumont's Restoration for many years and his favorite vehicle to restore were Dodges.  More than anything, Ray loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be forever missed.  Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maria "Pinkie" Beaumont of Callahan, FL; children, Sandy (Jim) Gustafson and Raymond "Ray" W. Beaumont, III both of Callahan, FL; brother, Jay Bradford (Kim) Beaumont of Willow Grove, PA; and his grandchildren, Payton Davidson, Ray Beaumont, IV, Lance Beaumont, and Reese Gustafson.

A Celebration of Ray's Life will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Nassau Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery where military honors will be rendered.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
