Stokes – Raymond "Ray" Christopher Stokes, age 61, of Hilliard, Florida passed away on October 16, 2021. He was born on December 1, 1959 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ernest Eugene Stokes and Vivian Johnson Wofford. Ray spent 30+ years working as a millwright. He was an avid Nascar fan. A perfect day for Ray was spent at his home in Hilliard with his dog Boulder. You could always find him out in the yard on his lawnmower drinking a beer, until 6 o'clock when he religiously watched the news and Jeopardy. Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

Ray leaves behind his daughters, Christy (Josh) Morris, Amy (Steven) Anderson; grandchildren, Austin (Brittany) Green, Amelia Green, Morgan Anderson, Marly Anderson, Myer Prokash, Maxton Prokash; greatgrandchildren, Clayton and Ella Green; siblings Frank (Amy) Stokes, James (Kharmon) Wofford; stepfather, Terrell Wofford; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Ray's Life will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Page officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
