Brown – Peggy Joyce Rodgers Brown, age 86, of Hilliard, Florida went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2020. She was born on March 23, 1934 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Victor Dallas Rodgers and Bessie Lillian Martin.  Peggy moved from Waycross, GA to Macon, GA and then decided to settle in Nassau County in the 1970's. On August 23, 1973, Peggy married the love of her life Philip "Buddy" Brown, Sr. They stayed happily married for 47 years.  Peggy enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, horses and gardening.  She also loved being a grandmother and had plenty of love to give all of her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Philip "Buddy" Brown, Sr. of Hilliard, FL; children, Charlotte Caudill of Hilliard, FL, Dori (Bill) Royal of Jacksonville, FL, Cindy (Stephen) Olsen of Woodbine, GA, Sharron (Joseph) Sudhoff of Oklahoma, Philip "Skip" (Knox) Brown, Jr. of Hilliard, FL, Kristi (Dennis) McNabb of Virginia; brothers; Dennis (Adele) Rodgers of California, Michael (Donna) Rodgers of Jacksonville, FL; several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
