On the morning of August 13, 2025, our hearts said goodbye to one of the most faithful, loving and selfless women any of us have had the pleasure to know. Paula Louise Drury, age 78, drifted peacefully into the arms of Jesus, her beloved Savior. Born October 27, 1946, Paula grew up with a tender heart, a green thumb, and a love for making life more beautiful, whether that be through her flowers or her sweet words.  She married the love of her life Thomas Wright Drury in 1991.  For 24 years they built a life full of love, laughter, and family.  Their faith was the heartbeat of their lives, and they were passionate about sharing the Word of God with everyone. Paula was a devoted mother to Melissa (Doug) Cole, Vickie Layfield, and loving stepmother to Robin (Randy) Kelly, Tommy (Barbara) Drury, and Susan (Jason) Sellers. Everyone who knew Paula knew that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She adored each and every one of them and never missed an opportunity to spoil them.

The tribute above was prepared by Paula's loving family.

A Celebration of Paula's Life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Live Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Dale Holton officiating. Interment will follow at Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
