It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Paul O. Hinds, 69 years of age, on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at this home in Callahan, Florida. Paul "Pops" was born on November 4, 1954, in Tampa, Florida to the late Maurice Hinds and Anna Avila Hinds. He was the youngest of 8 children. Paul joined the Army at the age of 17 to proudly serve his country. He was known for being a loving father and grandfather. After retirement, Paul moved to Callahan, Florida to spend time with his son and grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his grandchildren around on his scooter, attending his grandchildren's ballgames, listening to music, and sharing his knowledge and funny sense of humor with his family and friends. Paul is preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie Hinds and Frederick "Freddy" Hinds.

Paul is survived by his son, Jason (Ashley) Hinds; 2 beautiful grandchildren, Mason Hinds, Anna Hinds; brothers, Frank Hinds, Maurice "Jim" Hinds, Johnny Hinds, Tommy Hinds; sister, Dorothy Hinds Potter; and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

Paul brought happiness and joy to everyone he encountered. The family would like to welcome anyone who knew Paul to not only come celebrate but also share stories and memories of how Paul impacted their life. May Paul's legacy continue to live on through those who had the honor of knowing him.
