Desire
Jun 2, 1936 — Apr 25, 2025
Desire - Paul Anthony Desire, age 88, of Callahan, Florida passed away on April 25, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1936, in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, to the late Paul Desire and Mary Scala Desire. After graduating from Upper Darby High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Paul served in the United States Marines and then 1 year in the National Guard. Paul opened his own Auto Upholstery shop in Erial, New Jersey and successfully ran his business for 47 years while raising his family. He also had many hobbies including skiing, scuba diving, fixing anything mechanical, building an ultra-light and even had his pilot's license and owned his own Cessna airplane. Paul enjoyed life to the fullest and loved sharing stories of his family's Italian roots. Even traveling to Italy on several occasions. If something was broke, he was the man to go to. Paul would go out of his way to help anyone in need, making lifelong friends. He had a great sense of humor, and his favorite saying was, "nobody leaves this earth alive". Paul left this earth the only way he wanted to go, in his own bed with his wife by his side.
