Patricia Brandies
Fachko
Dec 15, 1938 — Aug 28, 2026
Callahan
Patricia Brandies Fachko, age 87, of Callahan, Florida, was peacefully welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday evening, August 28, 2026, surrounded by family she loved beyond measure. Known as “Pat” to most in town, affectionately called “Tricia” by her sisters, “Aunt Tissy” to her nephews and nieces, and most importantly, “Mom” and “Nana” to the ones who held her heart, she filled every room with warmth and life.
Born Patricia Earlene Brandies in Jacksonville, Florida on December 15, 1938, to Clifford and Lucille Maynard Brandies, Patricia grew up full of energy—running up and down the court playing basketball during her school years at Callahan High School. After attending Emory University, she married the love of her life, Raymond Donald Fachko, on September 21, sharing 45 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2002.
A true hardware girl through and through, Patricia spent her life working in her parents’ store, Brandies Ace Hardware, eventually serving as manager and co-owner. She genuinely loved going to work every day, greeting generations of neighbors and knowing the aisles inside and out. Always wanting to do for others and never wanting to be a burden, Patricia modeled self-sacrifice and servant-hearted love with quiet grace. Her deep faith and love for children shone brightly through her service at Callahan First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years as the nursery coordinator, tenderly caring for and rocking generations of little ones. For years, Patricia also hosted weekly Sunday dinners, gathering her kids and their families around the table to laugh, connect, and continually instill in them the lasting importance of family.
Outside the aisles of the hardware store and the church nursery, Patricia delighted in life's simple joys. She loved spending hours working in the yard, putting together puzzles, watching the birds flutter past her windows, and keeping the neighborhood cats secretly well-fed (a fact she would vigorously deny if ever confronted). Patricia’s world was brightest outdoors in shades of her beloved green—though she was never one to pass up a bold pop of red, either. She proved you’re never too old for a little fun and flair when she went car shopping and proudly drove off the lot in a head-turning, bright red Audi, creating a hilarious and unforgettable memory for the whole family.
Nana was truly well loved and loved well. The bond she shared with her sisters, Ann and Kay, was something rare and special—a sisterhood full of laughter and deep devotion that naturally spilled over to their families, creating a tight-knit clan and a lifetime of cherished memories. While she loved her children dearly, the sun truly rose and set with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While our hearts ache, we find deep peace knowing her earthly struggles are behind her, and that she is now fully restored, whole, and resting in His presence.
Waiting for Patricia in heaven are her beloved husband, Raymond Donald Fachko; her parents, Clifford and Lucille; her son-in-law, Rusty Bryant; and her brother-in-law, Harold Stokes.
Patricia’s love and legacy carry on through her children, Raymond Fachko (Debbie), Vicki Pickett (Brad), and Terri Bryant; her beloved sisters, Ann Hagan (Don) and Kay Stokes Coleman (Jimmy); her grandchildren who adored her, Stephanie Henderson (Adam), Stacey Van Waeyenberghe (Maxx), Bradley Pickett, Chad Pickett (Stacey), Brian Bryant (Caitlin), and Kelly Lynn Bonds (Brett); and her sweet great-grandchildren, Ava and Liam Henderson, Ziva, Lucy, and Annie Van Waeyenberghe, Raeleigh, August, Ryker, Bentleigh, and Marleigh Pickett, Gage and Maddox Bryant and Blake and Beau Bonds. She also leaves behind many loving nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Honoring Patricia as pallbearers will be Brian Bryant, Bradley Pickett, Chad Pickett, Adam Henderson, Maxx Van Waeyenberghe, Liam Henderson, and Lane Mashburn.
