McClain - Orin Gene McClain, age 73, of Hilliard, Florida, passed away with his loving family by his side on July 2, 2026. He was born on August 13, 1952, to Harry Addison McClain and Allie Mae Williams in Jacksonville, Florida, where he later met the love of his life of 43 years, Susan, as she waitressed at a local restaurant. His life was filled with being a loving husband, a cherished grandfather, and a stranger to no one. Orin's people skills made him an incredibly successful car salesman, being able to point out many of the people that he helped every time he was out and about. His connection to people was only deepened later in his professional career, as he retired as a pastor at Cornerstone Church of Hilliard. Orin and his wife found acceptance in practicing Judaism, and his family reflects on their practice of Shabbat, which was a beautiful and sacred time spent with his family and granddaughters, that know him as their beloved "Papa". His passing is mourned by not only his family, but his husky, Siberias. Orin is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Allie; and his most cherished puppy, Bella. +

Orin leaves behind his darling wife, Susan McClain; daughters, Allie (Randy) Courson, Nickie McClain; granddaughters, Ana Irons, Hava Irons; brother-in-law, Thomas Crosby; and many friends.
