Bell – Ollivan "Tootsie" Woodrow Bell, age 70, of Hilliard, FL, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2020.  He was born on January 23, 1950 in Fernandina Beach, Florida to the late O. W. "Pop" Bell and Louise Melton Bell.  Tootsie grew up in Nassau County and graduated West Nassau High School in 1969.  He enjoyed his long-time career as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Local 177 Union.  He was also a member of the Anchor Church of God.  Tootsie was a true southern cowboy who participated in rodeos, particularly in the team roping and saddle bronc events.  He also enjoyed playing baseball, football, and going hunting.  Most of all, Tootsie loved spending time with his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.  He will be dearly missed.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Bell.

Tootsie is survived by his significant other of 22 years, Ellen Jones; his children, Amy (Jeffrey) Brown and Ellis Bell; his brothers, Ronald (Denise) Bell and Donald Bell; his sister, Rita (Bobby) O'Neal; his grandchildren, Porter Brown, Madalyn Brown, Kayden Bell and Ellina Bell; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Tootsie's Life will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Anchor Church of God, 541798 US-1, Callahan, FL 32011, with Brother Dwight Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Bell Cemetery within Jones Cemetery.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, FL 32011. 904-879-1770.
