Nona Atkinson Logan, age 87 of Yulee, Florida, passed away September 29, 2026. She was born to Frank Atkinson and Lois Tyson in Jacksonville, Florida. Nona worked and retired from Maxwell House Coffee and was loyal to the brand only drinking Maxwell House Columbian coffee each morning. She met Perry Shiferdek in the early 2000s and together they shared 23 wonderful years of love and partnership. Known for her warm smile and forever friendship, Nona never met a stranger. She treated everyone like family. Nona was loved by all and was the glue to her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank; mother, Lois; sons, Art and Larry; grandson, Nick; and brothers, Donald, Floyd, George (Faye). 

Nona is survived by her partner, Perry Shiferdek; 4 children, David (Yao), Jerald, Wanda, and Rhonda; grandchildren, Seth, Sentri, Shaina, Ashley, Sean, Christian, and Noah; great grandchildren, Illyana, Darian, Ella, West, Tru, Draven, Violet, Bodhi, Sadie, Century; and her great friend, Gloria along with many others.

A Celebration of Nona’s Life will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
