Jones - Minnie Beatrice Jones, age 86, of Orlando, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, June 18, 2022. She was the third child born to the late Cecil and Dorothy White Jones.  Minnie was raised in the Callahan "Trussle Estate" along with her siblings Juanita, Shirley, Doris, Clara, and Henry as well as her cousins Louise, Barbara, Everett, Marva, Robert, JoAnn, and Arnold. She attended school beginning at the Historic Callahan School and graduated from Pine Forest Community School.  At an early age, Minnie confessed Christ and was baptized at the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.  She was active in the Sunday School and sang in the choir under the direction of Miss Ruel Morgan.

For many years, Minnie worked assisting her mother, Dorothy caring for and nurturing many infants and children at "Dot's Day Care."  She had a passion for tending to the children.  Minnie was a dear aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews.  Minnie was responsible for babysitting many of us as our parents worked.  She was known for speaking kind words to all of her many friends.  After the demise of her Dear Mother Dorothy, she moved to Orlando to be with her sisters Clara and Shirley and their children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Dorothy Jones; sister, Doris Jones Walker; brother, Henry Melrose Jones.  She leaves to mourn her lost three sisters, Juanita Ginlack, Shirley Riley and Clara Pace; dear sister-in-law, Brenda T. Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside Service for Minnie will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Callahan Cemetery with Bishop Thomas Blue, III officiating.  Family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011, 904-879-1770.
