Tipping - Michael "Mike" Jonathan Tipping passed away Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born to Derrick and Ellen Tipping, May 13, 1946, in Coventry, England. Mike attended the University of Wales, Swansea and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering in the late 1960's. He grew up as a transatlantic citizen in such places as Montreal, Canada; North and South Wales; Scotland; Wichita, Kansas; Wiltshire and finally settling in Florida. Mike retired from SCM Glidco in Jacksonville, Florida as a chemical engineer. In his years at Glidco, he met the love of his life, and they married on February 14, 2015. In 2017, he adopted her only daughter. Mike and his wife, Pam, enjoyed traveling.  They visited places such as Panama, England, Scotland, Costa Rica, Germany and countless states and other countries. Anyone who knew Mike treasured his sense of humor and warm smile. Mike is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pamela; nieces, Nikki Magnan and Jaqueline Solna; son-in-law, Tom Means and beloved dachshund, Oliver.

Mike is survived by his sister, Jane Tipping (Paul); nephew, Andrew (Anna) Magnan; daughter, Amyjo Means; grandsons, TJ (Kayla) Walker and Brendan Means; great-granddaughter, Kynlie Walker; numerous nephews and nieces; great-nephews, Ryan and William; great-great niece, Grace.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with his daughter, Amyjo Means officiating.  Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  A reception will follow at the Means residence.
