Pertzog - Michael John Pertzog, age 95, of Hilliard, Florida passed away peacefully and went to his heavenly home to be united with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was reunited with his beloved wife of 45 years, Dorothy Jean Pertzog. Mike was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. He worked as an independent life insurance agent until he retired at the age of 80. Mike faithfully attended church wherever he resided, most recently at Dayspring Senior Living.  Previously Mike lived on the Gatlin Family Farm in Hilliard and attended Live Oak Baptist Church and Gray Gables Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by wife, parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mike is survived by his sister Anne (Pertzog) Mowry; step-daughters and sons-in-law Patty (Pat) Nesbitt of Hayesville, NC, Cathy (Steve) Cotton of Gotha, FL, Tammy (Thad) Penland of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Mary Ann Pertzog Webb; grandchildren, Milton (Gina) Nelson, Kevin (Ami) Nelson, Jonathan Dotson, Joshua Dotson (Kelly), Jordan Dotson, Kyle Cotton, Austin (Lizzy) Cotton, Luke Penland, Sarah Penland, Peyton Penland, Olivia Penland; great- grandchildren, Haley Nelson, Montgomery Nelson, Alana Nelson, Ethan Nelson, Everett Dotson, Forrest Dotson, and Rixci Dotson.

A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Mixon officiating.  A private family burial will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
