Ross – Mamie Jurelle Ross, age 81, of Callahan, Florida passed away on October 14, 2023.  She was born on July 27, 1942, in Nicholls, Georgia to the late Ira Waters and Mamie Douglas Waters.  Jurelle has been a long-time member of Callahan First Baptist Church.  She loved to attend services there and worship her Lord and Savior.  Jurelle enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly.  Jurelle is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Waters.

Jurelle leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, George Ross; children, Karen (Mike) Green, Keith Ross, Kellie (Kevin) Hardee; brother, Franklin Waters; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Jurelle's Life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan First Baptist Church with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating.  Interment will follow Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
