Clemons – Lorene Hayes Clemons, age 79, of Callahan, Florida, was born on August 28, 1946, to Edwin Nathaniel Hayes and Bonnie Fails Hayes in Alma, Georgia. She is remembered by her family as an immensely loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lorene also poured herself into her beloved dog, Baby Bo Duke, her best friend. Lorene's personal time was enjoyed tending to the beautiful flowers in her garden, while her professional life was incredibly full as she committed over 25 years to Winn Dixie as Bakery Manager. Lorene was also very dedicated in her faith often taking time to reflect on her love of Christ.  She is preceded in death by her husband, William Clemons and parents Edwin and Bonnie Hayes.

Lorene is survived by her beautiful daughters, Deborah (Paul) Gilbert, Machelle (Will) Murphy; brothers, Larry Hayes, Johnny (Gwen) Hayes; grandchildren, Nathan Gilbert, Weston (Kayla) Greene, Bethany (Ricky) Rochester; great grandchildren, Rylee Greene, Bailey Rochester, Braxton Rochester, Fiona Brannen, Kayzlee Greene, William Gilbert, Bailen Brannen, Brystol Rochester, Weston Greene, Jr.; and many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Lorene's Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Jerry Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
