Lloyd Jackson
Miller
Aug 29, 1926 — Oct 16, 2025
Miller – Lloyd Jackson Miller, age 99, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. He was born to the late Andrew Miller and Aver Smith Miller on August 29, 1926, in Alma, Georgia. Lloyd's life spanned nearly a century marked by unwavering dedication, perseverance, and gratitude. On February 25, 1950, he married the love of his life, Lettie Miller. Their union was a testament to enduring love and commitment, lasting 56 joyful years. Together, they built a close-knit family grounded in loyalty and mutual support; values Lloyd held dear throughout his life. He was known for his tireless work ethic and often juggled three or four jobs at a time to provide for his family. Lloyd believed deeply in the importance of hard work and earned everything he had through sheer determination and perseverance. His mantra, "you never give up on family," guided his every action and helped foster strong bonds among those closest to him. Lloyd's physical strength was as impressive as his moral character. He remained active well into his later years. In fact, up until the age of 78, he celebrated each birthday by performing a one-arm pull-up. It was a tradition that reflected both his physical strength and disciplined spirit. Despite the many challenges life presented, Lloyd remained a profoundly grateful man. He was known for always saying thank you and expressing appreciation for even the smallest gestures. Lloyd's graciousness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as an enduring reminder of the strength found in hard work, family devotion, and heartfelt appreciation. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Aver Miller; wife, Lettie Miller; and son, Chester Miller.
Lloyd leaves behind his son, Benney Miller; daughter, Teresa Davies; grandchildren, Darrell Davies, Sean Davies, Chestina Slaten, Wendy Reilford, Jimmy Miller, Misty Highsmith; many great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
