Childers – Linda L. Childers, age 73, of Callahan, FL passed away on July 1, 2021.  She was born on March 19, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL to Edward and Patricia Bickel. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren, Patricia and Mark.

Linda leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Stephen Serbeniuk, Jr. of Callahan, FL; sons, Ed M. (Jill) Szakacsi of Callahan, FL, Curt L. Szakacsi of San Diego, CA; daughters, Michelle L. (Mark) Cliff of East Tawas, MI, Alicia A. Emmerich (Reginald Anthony) of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Jessica, Edward, Christopher, Danielle, Brian James, Katelyn, Chandler; great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Logan, Kamery, Lilly, Jaxon, Ashlyn, Westyn, Lorelei, Ayden.

On Love and Bereavement:

She comes forth

From her mother's womb

She grows and plays

In the warmth of the sun

A family comes upon her

The Children of her womb

She thrives and lives

In the joy of their laughter

Her children and grandchildren

Great grandchildren too

Now my wife sleeps,

Peacefully resting

Upon the bosom of the Earth

Awaiting the resurrection.

May the Lord comfort us

In our loss

May He bless us and fill us

With deep and loving memories
