Laura Rodriguez
Rau
Oct 13, 1964 — Sep 10, 2025
Rau - Laura Rodríguez Rau, age 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home in Callahan, Florida on September 10, 2025, after a tough battle with cancer. She was born in Monterrey, México on October 13, 1964, to Martha Leticia Caballero López and Eleazar Rodríguez Maldonado. Laura was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. To know her was to love her. During her high school years in Mexico, Laura traveled to Callahan to become an exchange student for her senior year where she attended West Nassau High School and made friends that would last a lifetime. After going back to Mexico, Laura dedicated her life to working in banking and later raising her 2 kids, Sebastian (28) and Ana (20) all by herself as an extraordinary single mother. Years later, little did she know she would return to the place she once called home to marry the love of her life, Timothy Rau. Laura's kindness and warmth touched everyone she met, and her contagious laugh could light up even the darkest room; she would always be known as "The life of the party." She built a life filled with love, family, and generosity. She cherished her roots and carried them proudly wherever she went. Laura's greatest joy was being with her family and friends, making everyone feel welcome, seen, and loved. She especially loved cooking Mexican food while dancing and singing in the kitchen, belting out karaoke songs, tending her garden, and caring for the family dog, Lola. Laura's proudest legacy are her husband and her kids who only wish to be as kind and loving to life and people as her.
The tribute above was prepared by Laura's loving family.
