Conway - Larry Horace Conway, age 73, of Callahan, FL passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL following a long illness.  He was born at home in Callahan, FL on August 7, 1947 to Leonard and Eva Conway.  Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services there.  Larry was self-employed at Conway Fence Company.  He enjoyed the time he spent working on the number 27 race car with his brother, Warren Conway, Bobby Padgett, Jr., Robert Schrugg, and Buddy Chitwood. Larry also loved deer hunting with his grandson, Jeremy Cooper and his friends, Ervin Cribbs and Buddy Chitwood.  He also loved running dogs at the fox pen with Eric Temple, Kenny Bray, Buddy Chitwood and many others.  He also loved fishing on his 30 ft. center console Pro-Line 3400 also known as his prized possession, "Bite This" with Malcolm Burch, Wayne Alderman, and numerous other friends.  He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Warren Conway, Joe Conway, David Conway; son, Frank Kelly, Sr.; nephew, Jay Workman.

Larry is survived by his very loving wife Hazel Causey Conway; mother, Eva Register Conway Dell; daughter, Lori (Duane) Conway Cooper; son, John Kelly; siblings, Sharon Conway; grandchildren, Frank Kelly, Jr., Jeremy Cooper, Sarah (Mike) Mills, Kimberly Kelly; great-grandchildren, Gracie Vaden, Braiden Cooper, Hadilyn Vaden, Cooper Vaden; nieces, Polly (Derrick) Hodges, Misty (Alan) Dimaria, Brandy Bryant; bonus dad, Lewis Dell.

A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wolgamott officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
