Obituary

With profound sadness, we share the passing of Juan Luis Alfonso-Acosta, a beloved father, husband, Papa, brother, Tio, nephew, and loyal friend.  Juan passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 44. He was born on June 27, 1979, in Havana, Cuba to Luis Fernandez and Zaida Victoria Acosta.

With an unwavering commitment to his family and friends, Juan touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His sense of humor was infectious, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.

Above all else, Juan was an extraordinary father. His unconditional love & dedication to his children knew no bounds. Juan took immense pride in watching them grow and succeed. His family was his greatest source of joy.

Juan's loyalty was unmatched. He was a steadfast brother and friend who could always be counted on. His presence brought comfort and reassurance to those around him, & his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

One of Juan's greatest pleasures in life was sharing a meal with loved ones. He had a passion for dining out & savoring delicious cuisine, relishing the opportunity to enjoy good food & even better company.

Juan had a remarkable talent for storytelling, particularly when it came to recounting childhood memories. He delighted in reminiscing about his childhood, sharing tales that brought smiles to the faces of those listening. Juan's stories were a testament to his ability to find joy in even the most difficult moments.

Although Juan may no longer be with us here on earth, we are confident that he is healed and his spirit rests peacefully and joyfully in the hands of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

Juan is survived by his wife, Nadette; children, Courtney (30), Kelcie (28), Rion (26), Kiara (22), Aaron (20), & Tyvon (18); brothers, Orestes, Alexet, & Aarón; tia, Zenaida; sobrinos, Israel (13), Cristian (11), Liliana (9); grandchildren, Skylar (8) and Zander (3 months).
