Sandiford – Joseph Patrick Sandiford, Jr., 25, passed away on December 18, 2020. He was born on October 30, 1995 in Jacksonville, FL to Joseph Patrick Sandiford, Sr. and Brenda Sandiford. He graduated from West Nassau High School in 2014 and was a member of the ROTC. After graduation, Joseph enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and served 4 years.  After retiring from the United States Marine Corps, he started his career with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office as a patrol officer.  Joseph loved hiking, working out, eating, traveling and making people laugh.  Most of all, Joseph enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  Joseph's biggest goal in life was to help others and did everything he could to help others better themselves.  Joseph was the true definition of what a true hero is.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louise Hurst Camp and Joseph & Jean Sandiford; uncle, Kenny Register; nephew, Anthony.

He is survived by his parents; Joseph Sr. and Brenda Sandiford; grandparents, Charles and Maggy Register; brothers, Charles (Ana) Sandiford, Brandon Dutton; sisters; Crystal (David) Hickman, Karie Bright; nieces and nephews, Aiden, Cayden, Kash, Bryson, Jaxsen, Adalynn and Layah; several uncles and aunts; wife, Ronnye Sandiford.

A Celebration of Joseph's life will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Condolences may be expressed at www.nassaufh.com .
