Erwin – Joseph Thomas Erwin III, age 68, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on September 9, 2020.  Joseph was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Joseph Thomas Erwin, Jr. and Dorothy Davis.  Joseph lived there all his life and was a member of New Beginnings Ministries Church.  He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Annette Knowles, and they shared 40 beautiful years together.  Joseph was a hard worker, and he ran his own courier service.  Outside of his day job, he also enjoyed doing tractor work.  When he did have time off, he liked to spend it hunting, fishing, and watching Western movies.  Most of all, Joseph loved spending time with his family, and he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He will be dearly missed.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Thomas Erwin, Jr. and Dorothy Davis Erwin; and his brother, Kenneth James Erwin.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Annette Knowles Erwin; his children, Neal (Lisa) Erwin of Jax., FL, Jeramie (Michele) Erwin of Jax., FL, L.J. Erwin of Jax., FL, Scott (Brooke) Erwin of Jax., FL, April (Dan) Moody of Jax., FL, and Dale (Kim) Erwin of Sanderson, FL; his brothers, Johnny Erwin of Jax., FL, Ricky (Vicki) Erwin of CA, and Kevin (Debbie) Erwin of GA; his sisters, Rachel (Adrian) Willis of CA and Tammy Nobles of GA; his 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Joseph's Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at noon at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Tatam, Pastor Bill Horne, and Pastor Melvin Schemer officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – noon prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, FL 32011. 904-879-1770.
