Howard – Jimmie Wayne Howard, age 76, of Hilliard, Florida passed away on February 28, 2021.  Jimmie was born on April 23, 1944 in Hilliard, FL to Victor Clayton and Lillian Hodges Howard.  Jimmie was a life-long resident of Hilliard, FL.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus-Christ of Ladder-day Saints for 45 years and served in the Priesthood with honor.  Jimmie was also a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam.  He was a Master Logger by profession.  In his spare time, he loved gardening and farming but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Jimmie will be missed dearly.  He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Wynn Johnson.

Jimmie leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Martha Heatwole Howard; daughter, Christin (Cecil) Holton; brother, Glenn (Lynn) Howard; sister, Annette (Paul) Dilgard; step-daughters, Jenna (David) Fletcher, Brenda Heatwole; grandchildren; Zachariah Hixon, Michael Fletcher, Melissa Fletcher, Jared Fletcher, Jordan Fletcher, Madison Holton; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Celebration of Jimmie's life will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints on Heavenly Lane in Hilliard, FL.  Family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5-7pm at Nassau Funeral Home and again from 10-11am on Saturday, March 6, 2021 prior to service at the church.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770.
