Ierien – Janice Lynn Lyons Ierien, age 71, of Callahan, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025. She was born on August 26, 1953, to the late Delma W. Higginbotham and Christine L. Wingard in Callahan, Florida. Janice remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life. She dedicated many years of service to the City of Jacksonville. Janice's commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside her. She took pride in contributing to the city's operations and was known for her reliability and dedication. Outside of her professional life, Janice found joy in simple pleasures that brought her peace and happiness. She loved driving through the woods in her Jeep, embracing the freedom and serenity of nature. Flowers held a special place in her heart. Janice appreciated their beauty and presence in everyday life. A devoted reader, Janice also spent countless hours immersed in books, finding comfort and inspiration within their pages. Janice's memory will live on through those who knew her, and may her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Rodney Higginbotham.

Janice leaves behind her loving husband, Neal Ierien, Jr., sister, Charlotte (Richard) Kardatzke; and best friend, Amber Young.

A Graveside Service for Janice's Life will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
