Wooten – James R. Wooten, age 59, of Keystone Heights, Florida passed away on January 2, 2020. He was born on September 24, 1960 in Jacksonville, Florida to Garnett Russell Wooten, Sr. and Thelma Ruth Alexander Wooten. James lived in the Jacksonville area all of his life and graduated from Forrest High School in 1979. He enjoyed fishing and playing the piano. James was a fun-loving guy with a big heart who loved his family dearly. He is preceded in death by his father.
James is survived by his mother, Ruth A. Wooten of Jacksonville, FL; son, Shayne Wooten of Keystone Heights, FL; brother, Garnett (Linda) Wooten, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Edie (Mickey)Knapp and Cynthia Lord (Bernie Blalock) both of Jacksonville, FL; 6 nieces and nephews; many cherished friends.
A Celebration of James's life will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 10: 00 a.m. at Lannie Road Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Wimberly officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
