Flynn – James Eugene Flynn, Jr. "Jim", age 63, of Hilliard, Florida passed away at Community Hospice Douglas Center on November 28, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 13, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late James Eugene Flynn, Sr. and Leila Oney Flynn. Jim and the love of his life, Kim wed on February 24, 1990, and were happily married for 31 years.  Together they shared two wonderful children, James, Jr. and Veronica. Jim worked for Woodsman Kitchen and Floors for over 30 years and enjoyed his profession, however his passion was racing.  He enjoyed driving in the demolition derby. Jim was the Race Director for Callahan Speedway and Southern Thunder Dirt Tour for several years.  He coached baseball and softball for 25 years and enjoyed coaching his own children.  Jim was the assistant coach for the Lady Blackhawks softball team.  He also enjoyed traveling for professional bowling. More than anything, Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. So much that about 5 months ago, Jim's family convinced him to move to Hilliard, Florida with them so they could all spend more time together.  Jim was extremely active in his grandchildren's lives.  Whether it be making sure they made it to t-ball practice, taking an un-forgettable trip to Disney or just spending time with them at home, he made sure he was there. Jim had a great sense of humor and was known as a prankster.  He was a loving and devoted father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend that will be missed dearly.  Jim was preceded in death by parents; wife, Kimberly Flynn; sisters, Carol, Donna, Debbie, Sandy, Susan, and Sharon.

Jim leaves behind his loving children, James (Faith) Flynn, III of Hilliard, FL, Veronica Flynn of Hilliard, FL; brothers, TT, Billy, Barry; sisters, JoJo, Jessica; grandchildren, Avery Flynn, Elaina Flynn, Talen Flynn; cousin, Yvonne "Cuz"; special nephew, JD who was more like a son that Jim helped raise and several other nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service for Jim will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Brian Mansfield officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
