Crews- James Kevin Crews, age 60, of Hilliard, Florida passed away passionately doing what he loved on April 23, 2026. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 15, 1965, to James Haywood Crews and Sandra Elaine Britt. Kevin began his career as a firefighter in Ware County, Georgia, and was a two-year veteran of Hilliard VFD assigned to Station 4. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated public servant who was well respected by all firefighters and deeply loved by his community. Kevin's bravery and selflessness in the line of duty will forever be remembered and honored. Outside of his work as a firefighter, Kevin found joy in attending rodeos and he was an avid Florida Gators fan. May Kevin's dedication to service and love for life continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He is preceded in death by his father.

Kevin leaves behind his loving mother, Sandra Brumell; daughter, Jessica (Jordan) Gude; stepmother, Linda Crews; fiancé, Cheryl Salmon; brother, Jamie (Kim) Crews; sister, Jennifer (David) Joyner-DuPree; grandson, Garrison "GW" Wade Gude; and several bonus grandchildren.

A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at West Church with Pastor Donald Shearin officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
