Henry Stephen
Roerig
Dec 14, 2025 — Feb 11, 2026
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious son, Henry Stephen Roerig, who was born on December 14, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, and was called to the Lord on February 11, 2026.
Though he was only with us for a short time, Henry brought immeasurable love and joy to his family. He was deeply cherished by his parents, Justin and Maddison Roerig.
Henry spent his entire life surrounded by family in the NICU, where he faced each day with a quiet bravery that touched everyone. During his time there, Henry underwent three surgeries and multiple additional procedures, each one met with resilience and surrounded by constant love. On his second day of life, Henry was baptized in the Catholic Church, a sacred moment that reflected Justin and Maddison's deep faith and their prayers that he would always be held in God's love and protection.
Justin and Maddison would like to thank the nurses who cared, advocated, and loved for Henry every single day. They celebrated his good days and comforted him through the hard ones. His parents knew that Henry heard their voices, felt their touch, and their love. Thank you, Valerie, Kathleen, Lamiya, Becca, Mary, Aimee, May, and all staff of the NICU and PICU.
Henry is survived by his parents, Justin and Maddison Roerig; his grandparents, Shawn Roerig, Monica "Denise" Roerig, Larry "Jake" Chrisman, Jr., and Shawn Henderson; his great-grandparents, Chris Roerig, Owen "Stanley" Brandies, Linda "Diane" Brandies, James "Mike" Henderson, Sr., and Anita Henderson; his uncles, Clayton Roerig and Kellan Chrisman; his aunts, Abby Roerig and Ashley Taylor; and his cousin, Owen Roerig; Godparents, David and Lauryn Crawford.
We commend Henry's soul to the loving mercy of God, trusting in His promise of eternal life and the hope of the Resurrection, alongside his great-grandparents, Larry Chrisman, Sr., Christine Chrisman, and Barbara Roerig; and his great-uncle and middle-namesake, David "Stephen" Brandies.
Along with flowers for the service, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Henry's name to Wolfson's Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House Charities:
