Helen Jones Douglass, age 84, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Hospice Care. She was born on April 18, 1941. Helen's biological parents were David Coleman Jones and Lora Mae Jones of Stark, Florida. Her guardian parents were Edison Casey, II and Lois Casey of St. Marys, Georgia. Helen graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1959, where she was homecoming queen. She then went on and graduated from Cosmetology School in Kingsland, Georgia and worked for Neval's Hair Salon. Helen also became a licensed Florida realtor with Amelia Realty. In 1960, Helen married Kennie E. Braddock. Together they had one son, Michael S. Braddock.  Helen was preceded in death by her late husband, Larry Douglass of Lake City, Florida; and sister, Bonnie Fae Jones of Savannah, Georgia.

Helen is survived by her son, Michael S. Braddock; grandchildren, Ryan M. Braddock, Matthew S. Braddock, Chandler L. Hall, Alyssa N. Braddock; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lee Jones of Rentz, Georgia, Franklin D. Jones of North Carolina, Fabe Lewis Jones (Buddy) of Mississippi; sisters, Margie Hodges Mongin of South Carolina, Bonita Pitts Casey of St. Marys, Georgia; and two devoted lifelong friends, Lavern Hamilton and Sandra De Shields of Fernandina Beach, Florida.
