Gregory Alan Briggs, age 74, passed away peacefully at home, June 29th, 2025. He was born February 20, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of the late William E. Briggs and Evelyn Courson Briggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his beloved wife Pattii Hurst Briggs and brother William M. Briggs.

Greg was a Gator from birth and an avid outdoors man where he enjoyed bird hunting with his club friends at Long Leaf Pine Quail Club and has been a member of for many years. Greg loved to cook when spending time at home and his signature supper would include quail, frog legs, oysters and rock shrimp and he never missed dessert. He was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church.

Greg survives by his daughters Christina Borcher, Patricia Briggs, Stepdaughter Penny (Les) Burnsed and Stepson Andy Hurst. Grandkids Briggs H. Borcher, River Royal, Zachary and Riley Mcpheeters, Trenton (Katie) Brock and Trevor (Madison) Brock also had several Great Grandchildren and sister in law Virginia Briggs.

A Graveside Celebration Service of Greg's Life will be held on Thursday July 3, 2025 at 9:30 am at Live Oak Baptist Church cemetery with Chaplain Jackie Hayes officiating.
