Young – William "Greg" Young, age 64, of Hilliard, FL passed away on August 27, 2021. He was born on January 11, 1957 in Charleston, West Virginia to his parents, Charles William Young and Faye Lillian Cyrus Young.  Greg enjoyed attending Calvary Baptist Church where he was a member for 50 years.  He worked as a welder for the railroad for 20 years.  When Greg wasn't working, he could be found in the woods, hunting in the South Hilliard Hunting Club or out in the boat at his favorite fishing spots. Not only was Greg an avid hunter and fisherman, but he also loved to golf, dance, and play the guitar. Music was a big part of his life. From running the sound at church to listening to the same Elvis CD play over and over again in his truck, he always had that smile as he sang each lyric word for word.  More than anything, Greg enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He was very meticulous about his yard and took pride in his landscaping. Greg was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kent Young.

Greg leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Charlotte Young; son, Allen (Jade) Young; daughters, April Bryant, Amber (Brandon) Jordan; brothers, Dale Young, Wally (Francine) Young, Steve (Donna) Young; sisters, Karen (Gary) Burnsed, Suzie Ratliff, Jannie Weaver, Renee Edge; grandchildren, Kennedy, Kaylee, Colby, Chloe, Hayley, Leighton, Mya, Kolt; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Greg's Life will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Kratochvil officiating.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
