Obituary

Gloria Dorothy Smith Stewart, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in late September on her own terms. She was the daughter to Andrew Alex Smith and Helen Hoppers Smith, and sister to Andrew James Smith and Patricia Smith McMillan. She is survived by her three sons, Adam Anthony Roman of Longmont, Colorado, David Christopher Roman of Traders Hill, Georgia, and Bryan Scott Roman of Jacksonville, Florida. She also leaves behind five grandsons, Hans Roman, Jacob Roman, Jordon Roman, Donavan Roman, and Dylan Roman. She was fortunate to watch them all grow up into young respectable men. She was here to witness her great grandchildren, Wyatt Roman and Wynter Roman enter this world. A part of her will live on within each one of us.

Gloria lived a simple life with most of her professional career as a real estate agent, and in her later years as a childcare provider. She loved the Lord and studied religion extensively and privately. Gloria was a kind person who gave to others with nothing expected in return, especially to her sons. She focused her efforts on her grandchildren and made sure to do her best by them during the rough times. Gloria lived her life in the best way she could, never perfect, never quitting, and never losing hope. She led with her heart, and we all loved her for it. Gloria will be forever loved and missed by everyone.

The tribute above was prepared by Gloria's loving family.
